Terms of Service, Privacy Policy & Legal Notices
1. Provider Information
2. Contact and Support
If you need help with your account, billing, or technical issues, please contact us:
3. Service Description
The Kingdom of English is an online learning platform offering digital educational content and interactive features designed to help students learn and practice English. The platform includes vocabulary exercises, grammar practice, reading comprehension, listening activities, and gamified learning experiences.
Access is provided via a user account and, where applicable, a paid subscription.
4. Prices and Payment
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers.
5. Subscription Renewal and Cancellation
Unless stated otherwise at purchase, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period.
You can cancel your subscription at any time. After cancellation:
- You will keep access until the end of the current paid period.
- You will not be charged for the next period.
- Your account and progress will be preserved.
How to cancel: Go to Account Settings → Subscription → Cancel Subscription
6. Refunds
We do not offer refunds for partially used billing periods. We offer a 7-day free trial for both Teacher and Individual accounts.
Refunds are provided only in cases of a verified service malfunction that prevents access to the paid service and that we are unable to resolve within a reasonable time. Any refund is issued at our sole discretion and must be requested within 7 days of the charge.
To request a refund, please contact us at support@thekingdomofenglish.com with your account details and reason for the request.
7. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)
If you purchase as a consumer in the European Union, you may generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts under EU consumer protection law.
However, because this is a digital service, the withdrawal right may not apply once you start using the service, if:
- You explicitly request immediate access to the digital content, and
- You acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once access begins.
How we handle this: During checkout, we require you to confirm via a checkbox that you request immediate access and acknowledge the loss of withdrawal rights.
8. User Accounts and Acceptable Use
By using The Kingdom of English, you agree to:
- Provide accurate account information
- Keep your login details secure and confidential
- Not share your account with others unless your plan explicitly allows it
- Not misuse the platform, including attempts to hack, scrape, disrupt, or bypass access controls
- Not use the platform for any unlawful purpose
- Not upload harmful content or engage in harassment
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for serious or repeated violations, non-payment, or misuse of the platform.
9. Intellectual Property and Permitted Use
All content on The Kingdom of English, including but not limited to texts, exercises, audio recordings, graphics, illustrations, and design elements, is protected by intellectual property laws.
You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the content for your personal teaching and learning purposes during your active subscription.
You may not:
- Copy, re-upload, resell, publish, or distribute platform content
- Share downloadable materials beyond what is explicitly allowed
- Remove watermarks, copyright notices, or attribution
- Create competing products using substantial parts of the content
- Use automated tools to extract content from the platform
